Dr. Khushbu Patel, DDS
Dr. Patel didn't set out to become a business consultant, she set out to build a practice she was proud of. Eleven years later, after working in both private and DSO settings, she acquired a corporate dental office in Monroe, NC and rebranded it into Bliss Dental, a private practice built in her own image. Along the way she's learned just about everything the hard way: through late nights figuring out systems, tough conversations with her team, and plenty of trial and error on the business side dental school never taught her.
A graduate of NYU College of Dentistry (with honors), Dr. Patel has spent over a decade growing as a clinician, with deep experience in Invisalign, implants, and KOIS training. But what she's most passionate about now is helping other dentists shorten their own learning curve.
She knows what it's like to sit on both sides of the table, as an associate in a DSO, and as an owner responsible for every decision, every hire, every dollar. That perspective shapes how she consults: practical, honest, and rooted in what actually works, not just what sounds good in a seminar.
Dr. Patel believes the best practices are built by teams who feel invested, not just instructed, and she's made developing her own staff into confident, capable professionals a cornerstone of how she leads. She's also a mom raising young kids while running a business, which means she has zero patience for advice that isn't realistic for a life outside the office too.
